Wagemaster Service
"Wagemaster" is a Manpower Service that allows you to put full or part-time personnel on the job without hiring them. You recommend the person. You recommend any special compensation factors. If we hire the person you recommend, we take full employer responsibility for Workers' and Unemployment Compensation, government taxes, insurance and compliance with applicable laws.
Your Role:
As our Wagemaster customer, you select the individual and recommend him or her to us. We actually do the hiring and the assigning. For the duration of the Wagemaster assignment, your supervisor in charge will simply approve the weekly hours submitted by our employee. You'll receive one weekly invoice that includes the actual salary, payroll costs and an administrative charge. It's that simple.
Our Role:
Wagemaster personnel go through the same orientation process as all other Manpower employees. After the applicants complete our applications, we interview them. If qualified, the individuals complete W-4 forms, and any other forms necessary for employment. As the employer of Wagemaster personnel, we maintain all required personnel and payroll records. We compute and pay out net wages. We withhold all applicable federal, state and local taxes and federal social security payments. We also make required FICA and federal and state unemployment insurance contributions. We fully adhere to all applicable federal and state laws, including wage and hour compliance and government payment schedules. We provide liability, fidelity and Workers' Compensation insurance coverage and are responsible for the acts of our employees within the scope of employment.
